Mel Graner was a local band director for many years. Upon retiring, he went into the music retail business with the main objective of serving the local school band programs. Now in his 80's, Mr. Graner continues to be an active part of the musical community. He plays the trombone in the Pikes Peak New Horizons Band, the Swingmasters Jazz Band, and he directs the Shriners Band.

There are musicians working in every department of Graner Music. On any given night, you will find these musicians performing throughout Colorado~~from Pueblo to Denver~~playing to dozens at a local watering hole, thousands at the Pikes Peak Center, or tens of thousands at the Bronco Game!

You never know what you will find when you visit Graner Music. It could be just a simple errand OR it could turn into a grand adventure! You could see a 5 year old playing a violin, or hear a famous concert pianist tinkling the ivories, or a local jazz legend trying out a new saxophone. Music brings us all together!

Now owned by the Baker family, Graner Music remains committed to Mel's original passion for students and local school programs. We proudly support the Colorado Springs Philharmonic Orchestra, the Youth Symphony, the Pikes Peak Brass Band, the New Horizons Band and many others.
